Llorente Says Villa Will Be Given Love and Affection

David Villa has been linked with football away from the Mestalla, with Barcelona now believed to be the only interested party after Real Madrid's signing of Karim Benzema.

The player had a meeting with Valencia president, Manuel Llorente, on Monday, in which he reportedly restated his desire to link up with Barca.

Llorente has now stated that during the conversation with Villa, the player was told "how important he is" for the club.

"He has the mentality of a professional footballer of Valencia; we have to treat him with affection, because he is an important player, so we have to take good care of him while he is here," he told reporters.

Meanwhile, Llorente has declared that he has never negotiated the services of Villa with Barcelona. "I have never spoken with anyone about the price for Villa, only when we were in talks with Real Madrid," he noted.

so telling the player he cant move even though he wants to is showing their love and affection to the player? he will be loved at barca and be supported 100%. barca is the place he should be at.
